Prexis Labs Digital Services, Lda. · Registered office: Rua de Baixo de São Pedro, n.º 37, 9700-025 Angra do Heroísmo · Portugal · Tax ID (NIF) 517138573 · sales@dokstamp.com

1. Who we are

The website www.dokstamp.com and the DokStamp platform (app.dokstamp.com) are provided by Prexis Labs Digital Services, Lda., registered in Portugal, e-mail sales@dokstamp.com (“Prexis”). Full identification details appear at the top of this page and in the website footer.

2. Scope

These terms govern the use of the corporate website and, in general, of the DokStamp platform. Use of the platform by client institutions is also governed by the service agreement signed with each institution, which prevails in case of conflict.

3. The service

DokStamp is a platform for issuing, signing and verifying digital certificates and diplomas. Documents are signed with an advanced electronic signature (PAdES) under Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (eIDAS), and a cryptographic digest (hash) of each document is anchored on a public blockchain (Polygon) as proof of existence and integrity. DokStamp does not issue qualified electronic signatures and is not a qualified trust service provider. The legal value of each document depends on the applicable law and on the issuing institution’s rules.

4. Accounts and acceptable use

Platform accounts are created by or at the request of client institutions. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity on your account. It is prohibited to: use the service for unlawful purposes; issue or attempt to issue false documents or documents on behalf of third parties without authority; attempt to access other users’ data; interfere with the security or operation of the service; reverse-engineer the software.

5. Content and responsibility for issuance

The issuing institution is solely responsible for the content, accuracy and lawfulness of the certificates it issues and for the information given to holders. Prexis provides the technical infrastructure and does not certify the truth of document content.

6. Public verification

Verifying a certificate confirms the file’s integrity against the anchored hash and the signature applied. It is not legal advice and does not guarantee recognition of the document by third parties.

7. Intellectual property

The software, the DokStamp brand, the design and the website content belong to Prexis or its licensors. Issued documents belong to the issuing institutions and/or their holders.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service continuously available, but interruptions may occur for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control (including the public blockchain network). We may change features, giving client institutions reasonable notice when the change is material.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Prexis is not liable for indirect damages or loss of profit, nor for damages arising from misuse of the service, incorrect information provided by the issuing institution or failures of third parties (networks, hosting providers, blockchain). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Personal data

Processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

Portuguese law applies. Disputes are subject to the courts of the judicial district of Prexis’s registered office, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules. Alternative dispute resolution for consumers: see www.consumidor.gov.pt.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published on this page.
